Teaching has not only allowed me to motivate hundreds and hundreds of students, but it also made me a better parent and person.

As a visual art student in college many people would guess my major as education. Sadly, upon graduation I went on to work in a non educational field. Even then my colleagues would say, you should of been a teacher. I was even told that during an interview for a management position! I did land the management position but treated employees in ways that a teacher would have. Once my company I worked for went under I did it! I knew, as I sat in education classes, that this was the path for me!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceEveryday is memorable! Some years are very hard, but some are delightful. As a visual art teacher I experience new art everyday, every month, every year! Each year our art show gets bigger and more profound! There are so many good memories I could never share them all in 500 words.
What would you do with the $25,000?The entire time I've been a teacher I've lived in a very small and very modest home. I would either remodel it or put a down payment on a slightly bigger home. I also care for many animals who came to me over the years. I would remember them as well. The money would definitely benefit my family in a lasting way.
