Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to make a positive impact on students’ lives, helping them grow academically and personally. Teaching allows me to inspire confidence, promote lifelong learning, and guide students toward success. With my background in health, PE, and coaching, I strive to instill discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Seeing students overcome challenges and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in shaping future generations through education.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was seeing a struggling student gain confidence and improve. At first, they lacked motivation, but through encouragement and tailored lessons, they began to engage and believe in themselves. The moment they proudly demonstrated their progress was unforgettable. It reminded me why I teach—to inspire, support, and help students unlock their potential. Seeing their growth and excitement for learning made all the challenges worthwhile.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 in opening my own Karate club in the U.S., creating a space to share my experience as a former champion and inspire the next generation. The funds would help secure a location, purchase equipment, and grow the club. This would support my professional growth, my ongoing education, and provide stability for my children’s future while making a positive impact on the community.
