I became a teacher to help students like myself. I was a helpless kid that often got overlooked. I vowed to make sure my students wouldn't get overlooked, regardless of economic background, race, gender or ethnicity.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceJust getting various thank you cards and gifts unexpectedly from students when I least expect it. I still have the first student note a student ever wrote me. I have kept them all for over 10 years. They mean the most to me because I know they were unprovoked and heart felt.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it to help my family financially. My student loans because of teaching have put us in a bind. I would also use a portion to try to start up a STEM program.
