Tell us why you became a teacher

I was really searching to find the job that would be the most fulfilling to me personally and teaching was the conclusion I came to! It had the variety I was seeking in each day at work and getting to really know and work with people. I also really love teaching and helping people. I enjoy helping explaining and teaching people new things and the ah ha moments they have when they understand what I taught.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My first year teaching! Technically I’m still in my first year of teaching and boy is it memorable! It’s hard and a lot of work but you feel good about yourself when you accomplish something hard. So I wouldn’t say I had one specific memorable teaching moment but it’s all in the little successes throughout my day where I realize I’m getting the hang of things and I can do this even though it’s hard.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Pay off student loans! It’s nothing too crazy or grand but I would want to be debt free and then put the rest of the money towards other daily living things like my car and other living expenses. Boring I know, but a girls got to still pay her bills and live on her own.
