Tell us why you became a teacher

I am a passionate Spanish teacher dedicated to helping students learn a second language. Having experienced the challenges of learning a new language myself, I empathize with their struggles and encourage students to embrace mistakes as part of the learning process. I became a teacher not only because of my love for languages but also because I believe in students’ potential. My goal is to support my students academically and personally, fostering their growth every step of the way.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments as a teacher was helping a newcomer student succeed in her biology and algebra classes by improving her English. She was struggling to understand the material, so I provided her with resources and spent an entire semester practicing with her to improve her language skills and grasp the content. By the end of the semester, she passed both subjects. Seeing her growth and confidence develop was incredibly rewarding and reminded me why I love teaching.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would pay off my car loan, which would be a huge relief, and finally start saving for my future children and the dream of owning a house someday. As a teacher, managing finances can be challenging because we don’t earn a high salary, making it difficult to build significant savings. This amount would provide me with the financial stability to focus on my goals, support my family in the future, and invest in a more secure and comfortable life.
