Learn MoreThis was my third career. Many people thought I was a teacher before I went to school to become one. I love to share my passion for nature and science with everyone who crosses my path, so teaching just made sense. Teaching comes easily to me, and my technology skills improve my ability to adapt curriculum for all my students to be successful. I focus on hands-on lessons to keep students engaged.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe most memorable experiences continue to be teaching during virtual field trips called Lama-Lives. Lama-Lives are opportunities for me to teach students from a remote location not typically accessible by students. What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, I would expand the Lama-Live program to include more novel locations. For example, solar eclipses and possibly a trip to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
