It happened somewhat by accident. I have family that teaches and they suggested I sub when I was looking for a new job. It turned out that I really enjoyed teaching and coaching so I pursued it.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a shy student terrified of presenting or speaking in class. We worked together all year to build up from one-on-one conversations to finally presenting in front of the whole class. At graduation they said my comment about just being brave for a few minutes really helped them get through HS
What would you do with the $25,000?I do not have a set plan at the moment. It is hard to wrap my head around having that much cash come my way all at once. I would definitely save some for my kids’ education and take a family vacation. The rest would likely go towards helping family out.
