I love being able to make an impact on my students’ lives. I love making them feel loved, cared for, heard and respected.

Growing up I was one of four children. I had two older brothers and a sister and my whole life I felt so lucky to have automatic best friends. I was always the nurturing and most caring one of us all but my siblings taught me a lot. My oldest brother John is autistic and growing up with him taught me how to truly treat people. I always loved kids and when I first started working I would work summer camps and I knew I had a natural talent to maintain healthy and meaningful relationships with kids
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when my students made me a farewell video to say thank you when I left my old school before transferring to my now current district. It reminded me just how much these kids and students need me in their lives and need the extra love and support that they don’t always receive at home. In that moment I knew I touched many lives and I was doing what my ultimate goal is every year and that is to help our children become better people in this world.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my last student loan, but also put it towards more classes and credits. I would also plan a nice vacation to Europe for myself and my boyfriend!
