I love seeing kids when they have that ahhaa moment. I enjoy helping my students to grow and build confidence in themselves

I became a Special Eduction Teacher so that I could work with General Education Teachers to be as inclusive as possible for all struggling learners. I wanted to help students who struggle academically, socially or emotionally to feel they are important. I want to be a part of the helping children to be become the best that they can be.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a student who had many diagnosis's with some being Tourette's and Oppositional Defiance Disorder. He struggled with social and emotional issues. His mother shared with me that even after a few years had gone by since he was in my class he told her “Mrs. Clayton got me” meaning he felt I understood him and what he needed. I also received a wonderful appreciation poem from a student, she wrote it all by herself.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off debt that I can’t seem to get ahead of on a teacher’s salary.
