I became a teacher in a non-traditional sense. My path was on the dancer track. While pursuing dance, I was given the opportunity to teach, and the story unfolds from there. I noticed a need for mentorship in my community (the 5 boroughs of NYC) for guidance and a strong male presence. This realization pushed me to step into a role where I could offer support, guidance, and a sense of direction to those seeking positive influence and growth in their lives.

While I’ve had many great moments teaching, my most memorable experiences come from creating exciting moments for our students with my co-workers. From helping them experience Christmas despite hardships, treating them to meals, taking them on trips, to offering one-on-one coaching—each moment is special. It reminds me that raising these children takes a village, and I’m never alone in this work.

If I were fortunate enough to receive $25,000, I would use it to ease the financial burden I’ve carried as a teacher, helping pay off some of the debt I’ve accumulated. I would also increase my donations to "Operation Impact," a charity that holds a special place in my heart. Additionally, I would invest in my future by putting some of the funds into my savings for my business, "Brooks International Legacy Leaders, Inc."—a dream I’m working hard to bring to life, making a meaningful difference.
