I love working with seniors in Philadelphia and helping them figure out their next steps after high school during the last six years

I have always wanted to help people in the career path I chose. I ended up in teaching after changing my major in college to combine the two things I enjoy, history and working with kids. I especially love working with seniors since I get to help them figure out what the next steps for them after high school, no matter what they want to do.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceLast year I helped students with a personal finance business pitch competition. The students planned a vending machine to give students feminine hygiene products, the cost on the schools. The students not only put the time in during personal finance, but after school as well. They took the feedback provided to improve on what they created for the finals. At the finals, they spoke to almost 150 business partners, teachers, and students. They were great sports even though they came in second.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the money, I would use some of it to help pay off my student loans and pay for the classes I am taking to continue my education. With the rest of the money, I would love to use it to have some sort of celebration for my seniors. It could help to pay for a senior trip or a big signing day activity that we will be starting to plan.
