Tell us why you became a teacher

“I became a teacher because I have a passion for learning and a desire to inspire the next generation of leaders in our community. Education lays the foundation for success, and I strive to create a supportive, engaging environment where students grow academically and personally. Teaching allows me to foster curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students reach their potential. Seeing them develop confidence and a love for learning makes this profession incredibly rewarding.”

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience has been building relationships with my students and seeing the impact of simply showing up for them. When students feel safe and supported, their effort and confidence grow. I’ve had two particularly challenging students who just needed consistency and someone to believe in them. Taking the time to understand them and provide stability has transformed their attitude and progress, reminding me why I love teaching.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would invest in furthering my education and training to continue growing as a teacher and providing the best learning experience for my students. I believe that ongoing development is key to being an effective educator. I would also use the money to support my school community, improving instruction and resources to make a meaningful difference for students and teachers alike. Education is a lifelong journey, and I’d love to give back in a way that creates lasting impact.
