I became a teacher to be the safe place I didn't always have growing up and to foster lifelong learning. I want students to feel valued and supported, creating a space where they can grow emotionally and academically. I'm passionate about inspiring curiosity, resilience, and the belief that learning never stops. Teaching allows me to help students develop confidence, embrace challenges, and pursue knowledge, just as I once needed to. It's my way of giving back and empowering others.

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was a class donation project where we collected socks for the homeless. The kids were so passionate about it-having discussions, collecting socks, and donating them as a class. They loved the hands-on aspect and learned valuable lessons about empathy, community service, and making a real-world impact. It was inspiring to see them take ownership of the project and truly grasp the importance of giving back to those in need.

If I received $25,000, I'd invest it directly back into my classroom and students. I'd purchase sensory tools to support diverse learners and expand our science materials to foster hands-on exploration. Additionally, I'd enhance the overall learning environment on campus, creating spaces that inspire creativity and curiosity. My goal is to provide students with the resources they need to thrive and engage with learning in exciting, meaningful ways.
