I was inspired by educators who encouraged me to dream big and strive for excellence. Their guidance fueled my ambition and motivated me to pursue a career where I could pay it forward. Teaching is about more than academics—it's about empowering students to believe in themselves, overcome challenges, and never settle for less. I chose education to help young people realize their potential and achieve greater horizons, just as I was able to do. This drive continues to fuel my passion every day.

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was with a group of quirky students who grew closer over three years. One student, once selectively mute, found her voice & even sang a solo at a concert. Another, who struggled with anxiety, became the announcer at a school assembly. Watching their personal growth—overcoming fears, discovering strengths, & supporting one another—was incredibly rewarding. They transformed into a strong, supportive group, achieving things they never thought possible.

As an educator, single parent, and caregiver, $25,000 would help secure my family’s future. I would prioritize my father’s healthcare needs & boost my son’s college savings. I would create a financial cushion for emergencies and plan for unforeseen challenges. Additionally, I would pursue higher education to enhance my skills as an educator.
