Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most unforgettable teaching moments was with Ethan, a student who struggled with reading and often felt invisible in class. One day, we worked together on a simple story, and when he finally read it aloud, his voice trembling, the entire class clapped. He looked up, tears in his eyes, and said, “No one’s ever been proud of me before.” That moment simultaneously broke and mended my heart. What would you do with the $25,000?

I would allocate part of the funds toward establishing a scholarship fund for students in need, ensuring that financial barriers don’t hinder their pursuit of higher education or career training. I would also create a "Teacher Wellness Fund" at our school, providing resources or small grants to help teachers prioritize self-care and professional growth. I also want to expand my non-profit, which helps get girls involved in sports in my community.
