I became a teacher because I believe in the transformative power of education. I strive to encourage lifelong learning by fostering a classroom environment that values curiosity and exploration. Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experiences don’t revolve around a single moment but rather the countless instances when students awaken to the significance of their work. Watching them evolve into lifelong learners, gaining confidence and self-efficacy, is incredibly rewarding. Each breakthrough—be it a spark of understanding or a moment of courage to share their ideas—shows me the impact education can have on their lives. These moments highlight the profound potential within each student.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The funds would be used for the student project, Hazel Green Academy Revitalization, to enhance building infrastructure to create versatile learning spaces. Funds would support educational outreach initiatives, expanding access to innovative programming. Additionally, I would invest in the "Music on the Green" concert series, fostering community engagement and promoting student creativity and entrepreneurship. This initiative will cultivate an environment of learning and impact in the world.
