My passion for teaching was ignited by my grandfather, an inspiring educator who profoundly impacted his students' lives. I aspired to follow in his footsteps and make a similar difference. As a teacher, I cherish the daily interactions with my students and am continually rewarded by the visits from former students who share how I helped shape their journey. Moments like these remind me of the influence a teacher can have and fuel my dedication to inspiring future generations.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most unforgettable teaching moments was when my 7th-grade students mastered adding integers. What made it particularly remarkable was witnessing their transformation from uncertainty to self-assurance. Normally, they'd hesitate and seek guidance, but on this occasion, they tackled the assignment independently and achieved accurate results. Seeing the confidence and pride on their faces was incredibly rewarding, and it filled me with pride as their teacher.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would prioritize enriching our school library with a diverse collection of new books. As an avid reader and passionate educator, I believe that fostering a love for reading is essential for students' academic and personal growth. I also hope to use some of the funds to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Europe. Having never traveled beyond my home state, let alone the country, I've always been captivated by the vibrant cultures and breathtaking landscapes of Europe.
