I love to share my passion for music with my kiddos. I enjoy seeing their faces everyday and when they “get it” and learn something new!

Tell us why you became a teacher

I went to college to become an engineer. I soon discovered that I wasn’t enjoying that field of study. I wanted to share my love for learning and playing music with others so I changed my major to become a teacher.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

This year has been very memorable. I took a very, very young marching of 18 members to the State Marching Contest and earned the highest rating in school history. A student was having A LOT of difficulty passing the state math assessment. They assigned him to me. I showed him several strategies that I had learned. He passed the assessment and was eligible to graduate high school. The first in his family. He came to my classroom crying and said he couldn’t have done it without my help. 😁

What would you do with the $25,000?

Probably pay off some debt.😟 Hopefully, save a little and take my wife on a cruise.
