I became a teacher to make a difference for students. I grew up with 10 brothers and voters and used to love helping them with homework. I especially loved the ah-ha moment. The moment they understood something I was teaching them.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI recently started a food pantry and clothes/ shoe closet. This helps teach basic life vocational skills to my life skills students. It also serves as an awesome resource for our school community.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some of the money to expand our food and clothes closet. I would use some of the money to expand our class business of making t-shirts, calenders, vases, etc. I would use some of the money for my son's college fund.
