I became an educator due to the teachers growing up who instilled their hope and belief in me. My life was positively impacted and changed, which led to a path of purpose for me to educate others. Due to their dedication, I now have the drive to give others what was gifted to me, a powerful education.

Of all the things my students can achieve, the most memorable is the love of reading. My student looked at me and told me our class read-aloud was her favorite time of day when she felt safe, loved, and excited to be at school. She said this short part of our day was her favorite, it was a time when she could escape to a different world.

These funds would be utilized to further my education in completing my master's in educational leadership. With this degree, I can continue my passion on a broader scale and provide a greater outreach of educational change!
