Tell us why you became a teacher

At first it I wanted to be a probation officer for juveniles to try and steer them back on the right path. When I graduated there were no available positions, so I decided to become a teacher to help guide them on the right path early in their life

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had a student who wasn’t doing her work (writing the letter W). When I asked her about it she said she doesn’t want to do it because she didn’t know how. I sat down with her and told her that she hadn’t even tried yet and that she might surprise herself with her capabilities. I told her that even if it doesn’t come out right the first time I will still be proud of her for trying. She finally tried and she did it!! She looked at me smiling and she was so proud of herself she gave me a hug.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I have a baby on the way (due May 23,2025) so I would put it towards getting a new house for my growing family.
