My first teaching experience, at just 22, left a lasting impression on me. During my 7-month position at a new school, I transformed from an outsider to feeling at home. The students were funny, kind, and exceptionally bright. The staff welcomed me warmly, generously sharing their expertise and support. By the year's end, I received several heartfelt thank-you letters from students, which continue to inspire my return to teaching each year, reinforcing my belief that I have chosen the right path

With $25,000, I’d invest in graduate courses to deepen my knowledge and keep up with the latest teaching practices, something I have put off as a means to save money. I’d also treat myself to a long-awaited vacation during a school break—because who doesn’t deserve a little relaxation during the busiest travel week? A chunk would go towards a down payment on a house, and lastly, I’d spruce up my classroom with flexible furniture and a diverse selection of books for our class library!
