As a kid who struggled in school, I didn’t enjoy it. I didn’t want kids to feel that way. I wanted them to enjoy it! So I became a teacher.

Learn MoreI have actually know since I was in kindergarten that I was going to be a teacher. But as I grew up it took on a bigger meaning for me. I was a kid that struggled no matter how hard I worked. It wasn’t until high school that I was diagnosed with learning disabilities (differences). I remember having such a strong dislike for school and constant stomach aches from anxiety. I just didn’t want other kids to feel the way I did especially when they spend so much of their day in school.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a student last year that didn’t speak much English at all and by the end of the year she was sitting on the bench with me at recess telling me all about everything going on in her life as best as she could. It was amazing to watch her grow and blossom as she learned to express herself in another language and I’m honored that she felt so comfortable with me.
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay off some bills. That would help ease the burden quite a bit.
