I became a teacher because I love kids. But as I’ve really dived into the trenches of education, I realize the bigger impact I have. Students remember the kindness shown, when they could easily be written off. That’s now my why.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience has to be this year. Last year I had some pretty “tough” students. I didn’t think I made much of an impact. However, all of them have come back to me and pointed out how kind I was, even when they were hard to love. It touches me so much to know that’s how they remember their time with me.
What would you do with the $25,000?Teaching is my passion, but it doesn’t come without its struggles. My husband, kids, and I have never been able to afford a home. I would use the 25,000 dollars toward a down payment on a house.
