I love when a student is struggling with a problem and when I ask a scaffolding question they get excited because they understand it now.

Learn MoreWhen I was a young boy, I loved math! It was fun to solve problems. As I got older, my friends asked me for help often and I would show them how to complete the problems. They enjoyed it because they actually understood it and I enjoyed teaching so much that I decided it may be my “calling.”
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a young student walk into my AP Calculus AB class as a level 1 student on the Algebra 1 exam. She was pushed on by her previous teachers and never given the help she needed. I told her that she needs to work extra hard to catch up and that she should get tutoring with me after school(I offer free tutoring to all students after school). She showed up to tutoring everyday that year and as a result she achieved the highest level, a level 5, on her Algebra 1 exam and the AP Calculus AB Exam.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, I would put some of it into my 2 daughters college funds, pay off some debt and probably buy a few class sets of TI-84 graphing calculators for my students so that students who can’t afford them can still have equal opportunities when taking their exams.
