I became a teacher to help students grow into confident, well-rounded individuals. Many lack a strong foundation, and I strive to provide that through music. The passion and guidance my mentor, Tiffany, gave me shaped who I am today, inspiring me to create the same impact for my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable moments was watching a struggling student transform over years of hard work. I have the pleasure to teach students over the span of 7 years. They faced constant challenges, but by their sophomore year, their confidence soared and they greatly improved. Seeing that kind of growth, both in skill and self-belief, is why I teach.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would purchase percussion equipment like a 5.0 octave marimba, an essential instrument that our budget cannot cover. This investment would expand learning opportunities, improve performance quality, and give students access to professional-level equipment, setting them up for success in auditions, competitions, and beyond.
