I love teaching and seeing the growth that each child goes through throughout the year. I also end up learning new things from them.

Learn MoreI absolutely loved my grade 6 teacher, I remember being excited to come in to school and to see what surprise was waiting for us next. I knew I wanted to make a difference like she made in my life. Nowadays, I love seeing the development and growth every single child displays from the beginning of the year until the end. The students become my family at school. As much as I hope I enrich their life, each and every one of my students has enriched my life over the years.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience has to be when I held my first Harry Potter sorting ceremony in my class as we were reading the novel. I surprised the students by fully decorating the class ,hung up candles, the tables were color coordinated. When they first walked in the looks on their faces was awe and excitement. They were so grateful and loved reliving the same moment that took place in the books. We celebrated together!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it for the classroom, buying new decor for flexible seating, investing in painting the room and new books for my class library.
