Tell us why you became a teacher

My family has a history of teachers, but teaching was not my first choice. I was going to be a nurse and during my clinical, I spent some time in pediatrics children were asking me to explain their homework or read to them. This is when my desire came and I changed majors. I have been a teacher for 20 years now. I love it

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moments are when I see the lightbulb coming up their faces illuminated when they know how to do their work. Also when I see my students outside school and even they are all grown up they still remember me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I can take my kids on a field trip outside our town, but that will be impossible. I want to buy Ipads and buy coding software to be able to teach them (STEM) to instill the learning of new things in them.
