Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to ignite curiosity and a love for science in students. As an international educator and researcher, I bring global perspectives into my classroom, making learning relevant and engaging. Teaching allows me to inspire young minds to think critically, explore STEM careers, and become environmental stewards. My goal is to empower students with the knowledge and skills to solve real-world challenges and make a lasting impact in their communities.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was guiding my students to publish their own science book, showcasing their research and creativity. Seeing their excitement as young authors reinforced the power of hands-on, project-based learning. Another highlight was leading a hydroponics project, where students explored sustainable agriculture firsthand. Moments like these, where students realize their potential and see science in action, make teaching truly rewarding.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would expand STEM opportunities by funding hands-on science projects, a sustainable school garden, and resources for underprivileged students. I would support STEM fair participation, field trips, and technology integration to enhance learning. Additionally, I would use the funds to help my students participate in a NASA project, giving them real-world space science experience and inspiring the next generation of scientists and innovators.
