I have 12 brothers and sisters, I have always helped my mother with my siblings. Seeing how the help I gave to my family help them succeed really motivated me to become a teacher. I have struggled myself in my educational journey, which taught me that we all need help in different areas ; so I decided that teaching was the career for me.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when I made a song and music video for the school. I felt that the students needed something to let them know that school is cool and education is a necessity for life. To see all the students at the school from K-8th grade sing and dance to my song really touched my heart tremendously.
What would you do with the $25,000?I have a huge dream of opening my own school. I have two associates degrees, a bachelors degree, and a masters degree all in education. I would love to put $15,000 into starting my school. The school will be about life skills helping students be successful in education and life after education as well. $10,000 will be used for my family to ensure bills are paid, the refrigerator is full, and that we have money for emergencies and rainy days.
