Tell us why you became a teacher

It was accidental, actually, but by far the best decision I made crossing over from media. I’ve stayed because there is no more valuable and powerful vehicle /impact than that which allows a young individual to take what they learn and capitalize on it ten fold, and with whatever creativity they possess. Greatness is no longer one faceted . It is so diverse. I go to work excited everyday because the possibilities are endless and quite honestly, the kids (even at their “ worst”) bring my best out

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

When I chose to see a scholar beyond her challenging behavior. I made a pact with myself to see her and have her see herself; to instill in her belief of herself as a brand, even without my presence. That’s genuine value ! Seeing her and allowing her to understand why she is important enough for certain effort made a huge difference in her attitude and approach everyday. Simple gesture; great potential reward.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use this money to establish an organization/ physical space for myself and my partner to establish a place where kids can learn their value. Creating a space where, even if they don’t go to college, they know they’re safe and that they’re valuable, while pursuing their greatness . Offering classes across Platforms that allow business freedom and a sense of freedom of creativity, as well as a sports oriented environment would be what I do. A place of joy and a place of greatness.
