Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to give back to my community. I wanted to show young people that they were capable of achieving their goals.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience occurred when a former student came to visit. He told me how much they appreciated how hard I pushed him. He said he didn’t see the value at the time he was in the class, but now realize how important it was.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I was to win the $25,000, I would put some of it away in savings for my children. I would use the remaining amount for repairs around my home.
