Tell us why you became a teacher

I was inspired to become a teacher by my 5th-grade teacher in 2004. I didn’t speak English but dreamed of being an educator. That teacher changed my life, and I want to do the same for my students. My goal is to inspire them to follow their dreams, no matter the obstacles. Every child who walks through my door has limitless potential, and they inspire me to be better every day. If I could do it, so can they—no dream is too big, and no challenge is too great.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most memorable teaching experience overall for me is when I see a student have an aha moment where everything starts to make sense to them.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to build a future filled with love, hope, and new beginnings. This opportunity would help me create the foundation for a family of my own—a dream I’ve held close to my heart. Just as I inspire my students to believe in their dreams, this would bring me one step closer to mine. It’s more than just financial support; it’s the chance to turn hope into reality and embrace the beautiful journey ahead.
