Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe in inspiring kids to change the world. I strive to build meaningful relationships with my students, creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment where they can thrive. My goal is to prepare them for life beyond the classroom, encouraging them to chase their dreams and turn them into reality. Education is a powerful tool, and I want to empower my students to realize their potential and make a positive impact in their communities.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Starting the new Aerospace program at West Clermont High School in Cincinnati for the 2024 school year has definitely been the most memorable. It’s been a rewarding experience to learn and teach about such a dynamic field. This first year has opened doors for students to explore real career-based learning opportunities and helped us build strong relationships with local community partners. It’s inspiring to see students engage with aerospace in ways that could shape their future.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would pay off my student loan debt and finance my flight training to earn a private pilot certification. This would not only help me achieve my goal of becoming a private pilot but also allow me to share firsthand knowledge with my aerospace students, guiding them on the path to becoming pilots. This experience will deepen my understanding of aviation, fuel my lifelong passion for learning in aerospace, and enhance my ability to inspire and educate future pilots.
