I love helping kids .. I love when I can see the light bulb come on and they figure it out. I love to encourage turning and talking to classmates and working together. I love to take advantage of teachable moments.

Two years ago I had a first grader who needed to have his leg amputated below the knee. My classroom was on the second floor . I carried him piggy back (parent permission) every day up and down the stairs. When he went for surgery I got him a bear and the class recorded a message saying we love him. He took it to the hospital with him. I did his home instruction. He is truly an inspiration to me as well as other students. I was blessed to be his teacher!

I would like to be sure all the kids have what they need for school by working with the school liaisons. I also would try to purchase books and activities to help children with social/emotional issues.
