I loved my teachers in elementary school and always played school as a child. It was the only profession I ever remember wanting to do. I want to help introduce the young children to school and ensure their first big school experience is positive.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when I taught PreK Special Education. I had a student for 2 years, then he went to Kindergarten and was able to be in the inclusion class with minimal extra small group assistance. I visited him in Kindergarten and he was so excited to see me and show me his desk and all his things. I was so proud of all he accomplished.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would put the money into finishing to build my house. My husband and I are building our home on the back of my parents land to make it easier to care for them as they get older.
