I became a teacher because my high school chorus teacher inspired me to pursue a career in music education.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel, came to our school to do a master class for my students. It was an incredible experience and she was able to answer questions about the industry, and she performed “Part of Your World,” for the students. It was an unbelievable experience.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would donate the money to my choral program at school so we would not have to constantly worry about where the money will come from to pay for transportation, music, tracks, T-shirts, piano maintenance, and any other expenses that come up with running a choral program. Our district does not provide funding so our operating costs have to be fundraised or come from parents paying program dues.
