Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe in the transformative power of education. Growing up, I saw how dedicated teachers could make a lasting impact on students' lives, and I wanted to be part of that positive change. Teaching allows me to be a mentor, a guide, and a constant encourager for young learners, shaping not only their academic journey but also their character.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences involved a nonverbal child in my classroom. By observing and understanding his unique needs, I collaborated closely with his parents to ensure he received the right support. Together, we celebrated small but significant milestones that marked his progress. It is a process, but the strides he has made so far are heartwarming. This experience reinforced my commitment to working hand-in-hand with families to help every child reach their full potential.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in creating an even more enriching and inclusive classroom environment. I would purchase specialized materials and tools to support diverse learning needs, from sensory activities to advanced Montessori materials for early literacy and math. I’d also allocate funds for professional development opportunities to better equip myself to meet the needs of my students.
