Learn MoreMy story is really simple. I've always loved school and grew up teaching my stuffed animals. I've always seen myself as a "teacher" and never wanted to be anything else. I entered college as an elementary education major and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education. I didn't really understand my calling until I volunteered as a mentor in an elementary school through a partnership with my university. This is where I knew I would TEACH. That experience was invaluable to me .
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI teach multilingual learners and Newcomers go through a silent period while learning English. When a student becomes comfortable enough to engage in group discussions, When they finally have the courage to use their English voice ,and engage and participate, oh to witness that... is always memorable for me! My BEST moments live there!!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to travel to some of the countries and continents that I teach my students about. These experiences would help me deliver the content in a unique way! I would buy equipment so we can make a mini classroom studio with speakers, microphones, etc. I would also hire a personal Spanish tutor!
