I love teaching because of the look on a student’s face when they finally understand a concept, face a fear, or reach a milestone.

Learn MoreI became a teacher because I struggled in school as a child, especially in Math. I am now a Special Educator, and I teach Math and English. I get to see my students reach new heights despite their challenges. Because of my previous struggles, I have a unique perspective that helps me more effectively teach my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceDuring my Master’s studies, I learned about the connection between listening comprehension and reading comprehension. I decided to start Reader’s Theater in my class. Students dressed up in costumes, learned their lines, and performed. It helped students come out of their shells, helped them grow closer to their classmates, and helped their reading scores improve!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would put it in a college fund for my daughter.
