Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of the students! I love to foster their individual creativity and love the moment the light bulb of making turns on! Every student is capable of creating, if they have the correct teacher, anything is possible.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experiences involve sharing the teaching with the students. We can collaborate and allow them to do the teaching as well. We do a project where the high School students introduce their favorite artists to the elementary level kids with a short FUN lesson, and then we GLAZE pots the high school kids have Made, with the younger students in the style of the artists they learned about! We get students in grades PRe-K thru grade 12, ALL involved on the same day of creating.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to continue to share my artistic abilities with as many students as possible! Art has no boundaries, and we can all share something positive with the world by creating!
