Tell us why you became a teacher

I realized how important my high school years were to the person that I have become, and I have always had a strong desire to continue to give back to the community that helped raise me and gave so much to me as I was growing up. I strive to teach my students (and athletes) dedication and commitment, two important characteristics that today’s students need to learn to be successful in today’s day and age.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Anytime a student comes back to visit and I get to hear how much they’ve grown as a person and how they are thriving as young adults. Makes me proud every single time.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Create more opportunities for students from my town to truly see and learn history by helping to sponsor a trip to either Boston, Philadelphia or Washington DC where they can sightsee and visit real historical places! and museums.
