Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of my deep passion for learning and the joy I find in sharing that with elementary kids. Teaching allows me to create an engaging and nurturing environment where students feel safe to explore new ideas and express themselves. I want to ignite curiosity and encourage them to ask questions, think critically, and embrace challenges. Witnessing their excitement as they discover new concepts and celebrate their achievements is incredibly rewarding.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

While I don't have just one memorable teaching moment, I cherish the times when former students come back to visit and share how much I meant to them. It warms my heart to hear their stories and the impact we've made together. I also love receiving papers or letters where parents or students reflect on my influence in their lives has been incredibly touching. These moments remind me of the lasting connections I build in the classroom and the positive effect I can have on my students.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won this money I would first pay off some debt to alleviate financial stress and improve my overall financial health. Then I would set aside a portion for savings so I may enjoy my future retirement. I'd also invest some in myself by taking professional development classes or even a massage to alleviate stresses associated with this job. I would also invest a portion into my classroom to ensure many students to come would benefit from the generosity as well.
