I love watching students learn and grow and achieve their goals. I love building relationships with students. I still have students check in

I have always wanted to be a teacher growing up. I admired all my teachers and would always play teacher as a child. When I went to college I ultimately decided to not pursue education due to the money. After working a few years in accounting I just knew I was meant to be a teacher and make an impact in childrens lives. I went back and got my masters in elementary education and have been teaching ever since.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was my first two years of teaching. I worked at a low performing elementary school in St. Petersburg, FL. I was apart of the team to take that school from a school grade of an “F” to a “C.” While it was the hardest job I ever had, it was the most rewarding. I taught first grade and looped with that class to second grade. I will remember my first year babies forever. They truly touched my heart in a way I have never experienced before. I will never forget it.
What would you do with the $25,000?Unfortunately I am going through a tough divorce and custody battle that is costing me way more than 25,000 due to issues that are out of my control. Sadly I am also considered the breadwinner being on a Florida teacher salary. I would use it to get through this extremely hard period of my life. And of course I would inevitably spend some on my classroom as I always do whether I can afford it or not :)
