Learn MoreI became a teacher because I wanted to find another way to serve others after I left my first career in the U.S. Air Force (20 years). I have always related well to young people and feel like this is the best way I can give of myself to build hope for the future of this nation and world.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is when I used to teach physical science and we did the egg drop challenge. I remember how excited the kids were to test their creations and then use physics to relate what did and did not go well. Finding activities like this that connect science to something fun is what makes this job great.
What would you do with the $25,000?Take my family on a vacation to Europe or pursue a master's degree in geology.
