Tell us why you became a teacher

I had a lot of great teachers who helped shape me into the person I am today. I wanted to do the same. I wanted to help pass along the knowledge and love of activity that I had.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

There have been so many great memories and relationships built. One of my greatest memories didn’t happen in the classroom, but years after a student graduated. A past student and his fiancé asked if I would officiate their wedding. It made me appreciate the relationships that I have built with students and also that these relationships last well after high school.

What would you do with the $25,000?

My wife and I are expecting a baby in April so I’m sure some of that would go towards those expenses and saving for his school.
