Tell us why you became a teacher

I have wanted to teach ever since I was I first grade. I continued the love for teaching all the way through school. I believe certain people have certain callings. Mine was teaching. I couldn’t believe I was actually getting paid to teach. I taught for 25 years in lower primary. I’m retired but still Sub at the school o taught full time in. I LOVE IT!!!!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had a mother tell me her son went to college because of me . I told all of my kids to check out books in the library that they liked to read. He read science books. Learned to read well and went on to major in Science in college.

What would you do with the $25,000?

House repairs….needed badly. I’m a widow one income family. I would love to have a reunion of my students who are grown and out in the world. I keep up with some of them but I would like to hear all about them and what they are doing. I would take pictures and write a success story about each one to share with elementary classes that I Sub in. Add money to science program where I teach.
