To make a difference in the lives of children with autism. My own son faced many challenges, and I never want another child to go through what he did. To make a difference, you have to be the difference. Driven by a desire to provide support and opportunities, I strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where children with autism can thrive. Teaching is my calling—it’s about advocating for my students, celebrating their strengths, and making a lasting impact, one child at a time
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was working with a non-verbal child with autism. After weeks of effort, he began reciting his ABCs and numbers. Within days, he started saying words, and within two months, he was speaking in full sentences. This incredible progress taught me to never give up, as the impossible is always possible.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would purchase items to create a better learning space for EC students. The remaining funds would be donated to Jameson’s Mission, which supports EC students who miss out on extended year learning due to funding issues. This way, I can directly improve my classroom and help a broader community of students in need.
