My heart’s desire is to make a difference in a life. I want every kid to know they matter and they have a purpose. I also try to encourage our divergent thinkers. So often kids think being sifderent is bad but I try nourish those differences. It takes all kinds of people to make this world go round and I hope my class is a safe space for everyone.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI teach high school art. Every year there is a state wide visual art competition that is awarded based solely on artistic merit and several schools in our area match the award. I had a student who won one of the scholarships. She told me because of that scholarship she was able to go to school.
What would you do with the $25,000?I still have students loans and I’d love to be able to pay them off!
