Being an educator was plan B. After struggling and college my commanding officer advised me on pursuing another field if I was to continue to struggle. He told me why couldn't I just become a music educator since I continue to work as a clinician with other schools. I went to visit my old high school band director and he gave me the guidance.I needed to solidify my passion. Since then , it's been my primary goal to ensure that these children have every single option available.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience1 day as my Ben was attending a district event I left my conducting batons at school. One of my former students who was doing his internship came to visit me. He offered one of his conducting batons to me. When I accepted his offer, he handed me the conducting baton that I gave him as a gift over ten years ago. As he was handing it to me , he told all my students on stage that I was his inspiration to be a band director. I was humble by this.
What would you do with the $25,000?That's a conversation that I have to sit down and think about very carefully. I have. Girls that I need to think about first, and foremost as they are my priority. I would like to pursue my masters, but to be quite honest I would like to help them prepare for their future first.
